How Qwikkit Shaker doors are built to last
The surface of our doors is a high-tech film made in Europe. It resists scratches, abrasion, stains, and chemicals, stays light-fast, and cleans easily.
Water beads up and runs off. The surface does not fade or yellow. It is unaffected by 212 degree dry heat or steam, and it has no plasticizers or formaldehyde. Shaker doors are part of the DuraBuild™ line. For the spec tables, see the Shaker Door Product Specs.

Materials
Core panels
The high-performance film encases stable core materials, which you can feel in the weight of the doors. The center panel cores are high-end particleboard, CARB II compliant. The board is made from the shavings of a lumber mill that makes structural lumber for homes. Because it uses 100% recycled fibers, it is Eco-Certified by the Composite Panel Association. It also meets ANSI A208.1-2009.
Moldings
The door moldings are machined from high-quality, consistent fiberboard made from southern yellow pine grown in sustainably managed forests. Like the center panels, they are CARB II compliant and made from 100% pre-consumer reclaimed fibers. They meet ANSI 208.2-2016.
