Unit information

Complete this information to prepare the unit for ordering.

Project Name is the name of the community being renovated.

P.O. Number is your Purchase Order Number, if you want it shown on the invoice. Optional.

Unit # is the specific unit being renovated in the apartment complex.

Unit Type makes it easy to order parts for another unit or apartment of the same type.

1

Pick your door style and color

Select your door style and color and these become your default choices. You can change this selection for any part in advanced options.

2

Pick your pull color, style and size

Select your pull color, style, and size and these become your default choices. You can change this selection in advanced options.

3

Select hinge and cabinet construction details

Cabinet construction. Select framed or frameless to determine proper hinge selection. Not sure which you have? The Framed vs Frameless guide shows you how to tell.

Hinge overlay (framed cabinets only). This is the amount the door overlaps the wooden frame of the cabinet on the hinge side. To find it, measure the door width, then measure the opening width behind the door on a single door cabinet. Subtract the opening width from the door width and divide by 2. The Hinge Overlay guide has pictures, or let the Hinge Overlay Calculator do the math for you.

(Door Width) - (Cabinet Opening Width) 2 = Hinge Overlay

Hinge type. Two choices:

  • Soft Close. These top of the line hinges provide a luxurious, near silent close and are 6-way adjustable. The silent close mechanism can be switched on and off. Lifetime guarantee.
  • Self Close. Good quality, self closing, 6-way adjustable hinges. Not visible when the door is closed.

Fill in the part information

Lightly shaded sections are required. Unless you have considerable experience with cabinet making or refacing, we suggest replacing the doors in your kitchen or bathroom with new doors of the same size.

Line Item Numbers

Printed on the label of each part ordered. Measure the parts in the unit in order, for example left to right around the kitchen, and it will be easy to distribute the parts in the same order.

Label Notes

Anything you want printed on the part label, up to 19 characters. Often used to record the part location: kitchen stove wall, sink base, master bath. Especially helpful when the person who measured is not the person installing.

Part Type

Doors, Drawer Front, Inside Corner Cabinet, False Front, Decorative Panel, Hamper Front, and 1/4" Panel. This tells us where to drill for hinges and how many hinges, pulls, and false front brackets you need for your job.

Width and Height

Provide the width and height in inches. Measure all parts to the nearest 1/16" or 3 decimal places.

Slab Doors Only

We need two items to pre-drill for your pulls. Hinge location: will the hinge be on the Left (L) or Right (R)? Cabinet location: is it an upper (Up) or lower (Low) cabinet?

Quantity

Order multiple items of the same size on one line. Be sure to measure all doors even if they appear to be the same size.

Other Notes

A place to write ordering instructions for any particular part. For example, a different color, style, pull, or hinge replacement on that one part.

Double checks before you send it

Make sure you didn't miss any parts. Walk back through the unit and count the total number of doors and drawer fronts required. Make sure that the total quantity of parts ordered matches the number of parts you need. Remember to check all the bathrooms, utility rooms, and other areas.

Double check your measurements. Look for patterns. Investigate anything that looks weird. Base cabinet doors are generally all the same height. The same goes for vanity cabinets and standard wall cabinets. Widths generally vary by 3" at a time. On a base cabinet, the doors and drawer fronts have the same width.

Common questions

How precise do measurements need to be?

Measure every part to the nearest 1/16" or 3 decimal places, in inches.

What is hinge overlay?

The amount the door overlaps the cabinet frame on the hinge side, on framed cabinets only. Door width minus cabinet opening width, divided by 2. The Hinge Overlay Calculator works it out for you.

Can one part have a different color, style, or pull?

Yes. Use the Other Notes field on that line to spell out what changes for that part.

Do I measure every door even if they look the same size?

Yes. Measure them all, then use Quantity to group identical sizes. Matching heights and widths that step by 3" are the usual pattern, so investigate anything that breaks it.
